Ginny Thompson State Farm
217 East Bandera Road, Suite 1 | Boerne, TX 78006-2992
Full-Time | In-Office

Deliver Exceptional Service. Strengthen Relationships. Support Agency Growth.

Ginny Thompson State Farm is seeking an experienced, service-oriented Customer Retention Specialist who is passionate about helping customers, building strong relationships, and delivering an exceptional service experience.

This position is designed for someone who thrives in a customer-focused environment and takes pride in solving problems, supporting policyholders, and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Experienced insurance professionals are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates who already hold active Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health insurance licenses are strongly preferred. Previous insurance industry experience, particularly within a State Farm agency or similar insurance environment, is also highly preferred.

While this is primarily a service-focused position, the ideal candidate will also be comfortable recognizing potential coverage opportunities and referring those leads to our sales team when additional coverage or policy changes may benefit the customer.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Customer Retention Specialist, you will play an important role in maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting policyholders with their ongoing insurance needs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional service and support to existing customers
  • Assisting with policy renewals, updates, billing questions, and coverage inquiries
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of customer interactions
  • Identifying potential coverage opportunities and referring those leads to the sales team
  • Building strong relationships that support long-term customer retention
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience
You will help ensure customers receive accurate, timely support and a smooth, positive experience throughout their relationship with the agency.

Who We're Looking For

We are especially interested in candidates who bring previous insurance knowledge and are prepared to step into a service-focused environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Active insurance licensing strongly preferred
  • Previous insurance industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and active listening abilities
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Licensing Requirements

This position is contingent upon becoming fully licensed.

Already licensed? Even better. Active Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health licensing is strongly preferred, and candidates with previous insurance or State Farm agency experience will receive strong consideration.

For candidates who still need to complete licensing:

  • Property & Casualty licensing must be obtained prior to Day 1
  • Life & Health licensing must be obtained within 45 days of starting
  • Full licensing guidance and support is available for qualified candidates who need to complete remaining requirements
What You Can Expect

  • Competitive base salary plus performance incentives
  • Licensing support for qualified candidates who need to complete remaining requirements
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • A collaborative, service-focused team environment
  • Career growth opportunities within the agency
