Adventist Health and Rideout is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized post-anesthesia care for surgical patients recovering from anesthesia and procedures. The PACU RN will assess and monitor patients during the immediate post-operative period, manage pain and recovery, recognize and respond to complications, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

• Current Epic EMR experience required

• Recent PACU experience in an acute care hospital

• Experience recovering surgical patients following anesthesia

• Strong critical care assessment and patient monitoring skills

• Ability to work 10-hour night shifts

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA

• PACU/Perioperative experience required

• PALS (facility requirement)

• IV Sedation competency (per facility requirement)

• BSN preferred

• Pre-Op: 7 beds

• Holding: 3 beds

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 2:1

• Call: Weekdays 9:00 PM–7:00 AM

• Weekend Call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

• Float: None

• Scheduling: Block Scheduling
