Position Summary

The HR Field Recruiting Officer is responsible for actively recruiting, screening, and helping onboard qualified caregivers and other direct-care staff throughout the Mississippi and Alabama coastal service areas. This is a highly field-oriented position designed for someone who enjoys being out in the community, building relationships, meeting candidates face-to-face, and creating a strong pipeline of caregivers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively recruit qualified caregivers, CNAs, home health aides, personal care assistants, and other direct-care staff throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Alabama coastal areas.

  • Maintain a strong field presence, spending the majority of working time in the community.

  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to recruit and build relationships with potential candidates and community partners.

  • Visit workforce development offices, career centers, schools, training programs, churches, community organizations, and other recruiting locations.

  • Attend and represent the company at job fairs, career fairs, hiring events, and community events.

  • Plan and coordinate recruiting events, walk-in interviews, hiring drives, and other field recruiting initiatives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, training programs, workforce agencies, and community organizations to develop ongoing candidate referral sources.

  • Develop creative and effective strategies to attract qualified caregivers and direct-care staff.

  • Review employment applications and identify qualified candidates.

  • Contact applicants promptly and conduct initial phone and/or in-person interviews.

  • Meet candidates face-to-face when appropriate to conduct interviews and discuss employment opportunities.

  • Explain job duties, company expectations, employment requirements, and available positions to prospective employees.

  • Evaluate candidates based on qualifications, reliability, professionalism, communication skills, and suitability for providing non-medical care.

  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with candidates throughout the recruiting and hiring process.

  • Assist qualified candidates with completing employment applications, required paperwork, and onboarding documentation.

  • Coordinate with the HR department and management team regarding candidate status and current hiring needs.

  • Assist with scheduling orientation, training, and other required onboarding activities.

  • Maintain accurate records of recruiting activities, candidate communication, interviews, and hiring outcomes.

  • Work closely with scheduling and operations staff to identify immediate and anticipated caregiver staffing needs.

  • Focus on recruiting efforts on areas with caregiver shortages, increased client demand, or urgent staffing needs.

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.

  • Provide regular updates to management regarding recruiting activities, candidate pipelines, hiring progress, and challenges.

  • Represent the company professionally and promote its mission, values, and employment opportunities throughout the community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in recruiting, human resources, staffing, sales, community outreach, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience in the home care, healthcare, senior care, staffing, or caregiving industry preferred.

  • Knowledge of caregiver recruitment, staffing challenges, and employee retention strategies preferred.

  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Alabama coastal service areas.

  • Valid driver license with a clean MVR.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive applicants and employee information professionally.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, email, and applicant or employee documentation systems.

  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to attend recruiting events, job fairs, and community activities.
