About the Role:
As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and groups to improve their mental health and overall well-being. You will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client, helping them navigate life transitions, manage emotional challenges, and develop coping strategies. Your work will involve assessing clients' mental health status, creating treatment plans, and facilitating individual or group therapy sessions. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and crisis intervention when necessary. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing clients' quality of life and fostering resilience in the face of behavioral health challenges.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to client confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized training or certification in group therapy, family therapy, or anger management.
- Experience working with diverse populations and across various cultural backgrounds.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
- Additional certifications in trauma-informed care or substance abuse counseling.
- Experience in program development or community mental health outreach.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Facilitate anger management and behavioral health programs tailored to client needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals.
- Stay current with developments in counseling psychology and mental health best practices.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping mechanisms.

The required skills such as Counseling Psychology, Group Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling are essential for conducting effective therapeutic sessions and developing treatment plans that address clients' specific needs. Family Therapy and Psychotherapy skills enable the therapist to work with multiple client dynamics and complex emotional issues. Crisis Intervention and Anger Management skills are critical for managing acute situations and helping clients develop healthier coping mechanisms. Life Transitions and Behavioral Health expertise allow the therapist to support clients through significant changes and behavioral challenges. Preferred skills like trauma-informed care and teletherapy proficiency enhance the therapist’s ability to provide accessible, culturally sensitive, and comprehensive care in diverse settings.
