What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair complex chiller systems: air-cooled, water-cooled, centrifugal, screw, and scroll.
  • Perform complete equipment teardowns and in-depth diagnostics on large commercial equipment.
  • Lead coordination and workflow on large projects, including disassembly/reassembly for troubleshooting and planned maintenance per service agreements.
  • Execute service contracts, quoted projects, and urgent demand calls with clear documentation.
  • Operate hand/power tools, gauges, and precision measuring devices with expert skill.
  • Build credibility with customers; explain your work in a way that earns trust.
  • Communicate status and solutions to all stakeholders and keep records current in app-based systems.
  • Rotate through an established on-call standby schedule.
  • Procure materials and issue purchase order numbers to vendors.
  • Drive and tow safely per fleet safety and company safety policies.
  • Keep your service vehicle organized with maintained tools, calibrated instruments, and stocked inventory.
  • Leverage mobile/app tools for scheduling, notes, photos, and reporting.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Minimum 7 years specialized in commercial chiller service with deep technical mastery.
  • Direct experience on centrifugal and screw chillers (Trane, York, Carrier, Daikin, or comparable).
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting ability on 200–1,000 ton systems.
  • Working knowledge of VFDs, pumps, cooling towers, and BAS controls.
  • Advanced understanding of service procedures, techniques, and codes.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting complex schematics and prints.
  • Self-directed, organized, and capable of managing complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Professional demeanor with clear written and verbal communication.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record compliant with fleet safety/driving policy requirements.
  • Full chiller teardown experience preferred.
