Masker / Powder Paint TechnicianDepartment: Powder PaintReports To: Lead PersonJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Masker / Powder Paint Technician to prepare parts for finishing by applying proper masking techniques. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality by identifying and reporting any defects or concerns before the finishing process.Compensation & BenefitsStarting Pay: $17/hourBenefits (available after 60 days):Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with Company MatchPaid Time Off (PTO) and Paid HolidaysPaid Training OpportunitiesKey ResponsibilitiesMask parts according to prints, samples, and work instructionsInspect parts prior to masking to ensure cleanliness and qualityApply various masking methods (tape, plugs, caps, etc.) based on product requirementsWipe and prep surfaces to ensure proper adhesionFollow production schedules and meet established ratesIdentify and report defective or questionable parts to leadershipSafely use tools such as tape, knives, air hoses, and pallet jacksAssist with part hanging, unmasking, packaging, and other production tasks as neededMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPEQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredAbility to read and understand basic instructions and shop drawingsBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordinationAbility to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to cross-train in other departmentsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 96 lbs. with assistance, 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. continuouslyFrequent use of hands and upper extremities for repetitive tasksAbility to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, and lift throughout the shiftAbility to work at a steady or fast pace depending on production needsWork EnvironmentManufacturing/production settingWork may be performed seated or standing, on or off the production lineClean work area with temperatures that vary based on shop conditionsAdditional InformationOvertime may be required based on production needsTraining provided on masking techniques, safety procedures, and equipment useMust be able to safely perform all essential job functions
