Function

Enhance employee learning by developing and improving training materials, tools, and delivery methods through instructional design, visual communication, technology, and AI. Contribute to the creation of effective and engaging talent initiatives content that supports new hire onboarding, safety procedures, job-specific instruction, and continuous development. Partner with HR and Operations to strengthen visualization of training programs, identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.


Key Deliverables

  1. Visual SWI and WI Instructions (SWI/WI)
  • Assist in redesigning SWIs and WIs by incorporating step-by-step visuals, process photos, and minimal text. Support efforts to establish a standardized visual format used across all locations.
  1. Visual Job Description Conversion
  • Convert traditional text-based job descriptions into visually engaging formats using Rea’s Visual JD template.
  1. Micro-learning Video Development
  • Create short (1–6 minute) training videos to introduce core safety procedures, operational tasks, and foundational business concepts such as OEE, EV, Magnet Wire, Scrap, 3Ts, and 5Cs.
  1. Infographic Design for Training Topics
  • Develop infographics for key procedures, safety tips, and work habits. These will be used across various platforms such as bulletin boards, break areas, and internal communications.
  1. AI-Enabled Learning & Instructional Design
  • Use AI tools to develop and enhance training materials, videos, visual content, and learning resources.
  • Support AI-based projects that improve training efficiency, knowledge capture, and employee development.
  • Identify and test new AI applications that can improve learning and development processes.
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations to implement practical AI solutions.


Position Specifications

  • Job Type: Internship
  • Pay: $22.00/hour
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 1–1.5 years
  • Schedule: Flexible, Monday–Friday, between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM
  • Hours: 25–35 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Graphic Design, Communication, or related field.
  • Strong interest in employee training, development, and visual communications.
  • Video editing and graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere, or similar tools).
  • Ability to use AI to support content creation, research, instructional design, process improvement, data organization, and/or visual communication.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy, relevance, quality, and appropriate business use.
  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously explore emerging AI technologies and identify practical applications for learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).


Preferred:

  • Experience in creating training materials or visual content for instructional purposes.
  • Prior coursework or projects in instructional design, e-learning, or organizational training.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, iMovie) or graphic design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator).

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and may be exposed to chemical, non-toxic fumes or dust. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Work Environment: Employee will occasionally be exposed to Cold Temperatures <65 degrees and Heat >80 degrees. The environment is well lit; the noise level is often minimal, but incumbent may be exposed to higher than 85 decibels on occasion.
