Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) is hiring a Licensed Lead Preschool Teacher for our Discovery Center located at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School in Eagan, Minnesota.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a licensed educator who loves early childhood education and is looking for the opportunity to lead their own classroom while being part of a collaborative and supportive teaching team.

Position Highlights

As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will:

• Lead a preschool classroom and create a warm, engaging, play-based learning environment.
• Work alongside a team of Assistant Teachers who support the classroom throughout the day.
• Receive paid daily classroom preparation and planning time.
• Collaborate with LADC's on-site and regional Lead Teacher teams.
• Work with fellow Lead Teachers to develop monthly lesson plans and share curriculum ideas and classroom resources.
• Participate in continuing education, professional development, and leadership opportunities.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and families while supporting each child's academic, social-emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
• Partner with Faithful Shepherd Catholic School and LADC leadership to provide a high-quality preschool experience within a faith-based school community.

Salary & Schedule Options

12-Month Lead Teacher Salary: $58,000–$70,000/year, based on education, licensure, qualifications, and experience.

Prefer summers off? LADC also offers a 9-month school-year Lead Teacher position for licensed teachers who do not wish to teach during the summer.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• A B.A. or B.S. in Education or a related field, AND
• A current or in-process Minnesota Teaching License and/or Master of Education degree
• A passion for early childhood education and creating engaging learning experiences for young children
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• The ability to work collaboratively with Assistant Teachers, families, school partners, and fellow Lead Teachers

Experience teaching preschool or early elementary-aged children is preferred.
