As our Activities Director, you'll be responsible for creating and leading engaging programs that support the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being of our residents.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing a comprehensive resident activities program tailored to individual interests and abilities.

• Building meaningful relationships with residents and families to ensure activities reflect their preferences and needs.

• Planning and coordinating a variety of enriching experiences, including:

  • Holiday celebrations and special events

  • Arts & crafts

  • Music and entertainment

  • Fitness and wellness classes

  • Educational programs

  • Games and social gatherings

  • Community outings and outdoor activities

• Encouraging resident participation and fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment.

• Collaborating with nursing, therapy, dietary, and other departments to enhance the resident experience.

• Maintaining activity calendars, attendance records, assessments, and required documentation.

• Evaluating program success through resident feedback and continuously introducing new ideas to keep activities fresh, engaging, and meaningful.

• Ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Activities Director or in recreation, therapeutic activities, senior living, healthcare, or a related field.

• A genuine passion for enriching the lives of seniors.

• Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Creative, energetic, and self-motivated with the ability to inspire others.

• Strong planning and time-management skills.

• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.

• Ability to assist with resident mobility and transfers when needed.

• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or assisted living is highly preferred.
