Pay Rate: $34-36/hour
Location: Suffern, NY | On-site (Monday-Friday, Full-time)

Job Overview
Madison Approach Staffing is recruiting for an HCM Specialist for our client's Human Resources department. Our client is a large healthcare organization seeking an experienced HRIS professional to assist in day-to-day administration and support of Human Resources Information Systems. This role processes all HR transactions to ensure timely payroll processing, maintains employee files, and oversees processing of all HR-related information. The ideal candidate has strong data entry skills, HRIS experience (preferably ADP), and ability to drive continuous improvement in HCM operations. This is a 12-month temporary assignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of Human Resources data entry including inputting data into HR, Time and Attendance, Payroll, and related vendor systems
  • Review, enter, and process all personnel changes in accurate and timely manner to support payroll processing
  • Perform research when incomplete or inaccurate information is provided; resolve data discrepancies
  • Provide administrative support to HCM team and assist with HR projects
  • Drive continuous improvement within HCM operations through timely acknowledgement and resolution of requests and calls
  • Maintain communication with Payroll department and appropriate HR staff to research and resolve timekeeping and HR-related issues
  • Maintain files in accordance with hospital policies for all active and terminated personnel files
  • Ensure records are in compliance with federal, state, and regulatory accreditation body requirements
  • Process standard HR reports as requested
  • Assist with all other HR-related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years HR and/or Payroll experience; healthcare environment preferred
  • Education: Associate degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
  • HRIS Proficiency: Strong data entry skills with experience in HRIS systems
  • Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel and Word
  • HR Processes: Demonstrated experience in HR processes, query, and reporting
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous accuracy when processing personnel changes and data entry
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with Payroll and HR staff
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to research and resolve timekeeping and HR-related issues
  • Compliance: Understanding of personnel file requirements and regulatory compliance
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Proficiency with ADP database structure, functions, and processes
  • Experience with HR technology projects for system upgrades and enhancements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Experience in healthcare HR environment
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and timekeeping systems
  • Experience with query and reporting tools
  • Understanding of federal, state, and healthcare regulatory requirements for personnel records

  • Full-time position: Monday-Friday (standard business hours)
  • On-site in Suffern, NY
  • Temporary assignment: 12 months
