For the 2026-2027 School YearTITLE: Substitute TeacherREPORTS TO: Principal or DesigneeLOCATIONS: District-wide availability, may select preferences on grade levels/buildingsJOB SUMMARY: Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in PreK through 12th grade during teacher's absenceJOB RESPONSIBILITIESIn the teacher's absence, follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skillsFollow behavior management plans for students Assists and collaborates with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goalsMaintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of dataReports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basisOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Authorization CertificateExperience in classroom teaching PreK ? 12th grade preferred.Initiative to be a self starterIntuitive to the needs of studentsFlexibility in assignment givenAbility to use good judgmentReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
