About This Role
You will play a pivotal role as the Infant Room Lead Teacher, crafting a nurturing environment for infants aged 8 weeks to 18 months that fosters their earliest educational experiences. You are the architect of foundational learning, where care and development meet. Your responsibility is to design a stimulating sanctuary that encourages social-emotional growth, curiosity, and exploration within our extended day program.
What You'll Do
- Discovery & Development: Design and implement engaging activities that align with our academy's philosophy, sparking curiosity and creativity in our young learners.
- Classroom Culture: Establish a warm, inclusive, and welcoming classroom space that promotes exploration, independence, and a sense of community.
- Well-being & Guidance: Provide vigilant supervision and positive guidance to ensure the well-being of our infants, managing routines with sensitivity and care.
- Child Development Tracking: Monitor and record significant milestones in child development, identifying individual strengths and areas for growth.
- Collaboration & Communication: Foster open and heart-centered communication with parents and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive experience.
- Classroom Organization:
- Resource Management & Maintenance: Efficiently manage and maintain a clean, stimulating learning space filled with age-appropriate materials and equipment.
Requirements
- Passion: A genuine love for working with infants/young children and a passion for engaging them in developmental challenges.
- Professional Competencies: Proactive self-starter who demonstrates a continuous growth mindset and a commitment to process improvement.
- Educational Background: Currently hold an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Essentials: First Aid/CPR certification and the ability to pass all required background clearances.
- Shift: Consistent coverage for our 1st shift (between 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM).
- Experience: Proven experience nurturing and guiding young children in a professional educational setting.
- Skills: Strong classroom management skills and a deep understanding of child development principles.
- Availability: Full-time or Part-time options available based on academy requirements; may include occasional academy events outside of regular hours.
Nice To Haves
- Foundational knowledge of Montessori or STEAM educational frameworks, with a proven ability to adapt and excel in specialized learning environments, is highly desirable.
