Business Development & Outreach Liaison
Location: Field-based | New York, NY metro area

Job Description

Are you a natural networker who wants your work to change lives? The Second Wind is looking for a Business Development & Outreach Liaison to grow our outpatient Substance Use Disorder treatment program by building relationships across the community and criminal justice system. This is a field-based role, you'll spend most days out in the community rather than at a desk, meeting referral sources where they are.

What You'll Do

  • Spend most of your week in the field, visiting probation and parole offices, and community agencies across the metro area. Developing new referral partnerships with hospitals, shelters, and social service agencies

  • Build relationships with probation and parole officers, court staff, attorneys, judges, and public defenders

  • Represent The Second Wind at community events, resource fairs, and networking events

  • Create outreach materials and support our marketing presence, including social media

  • Track referral activity and report on outreach progress

  • Work closely with our clinical and admissions team to make sure every referral gets a fast, warm handoff

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in business development, community outreach, or healthcare marketing

  • Existing relationships within probation, parole, or court systems a big plus

  • Understanding of SUD treatment and recovery services

  • Strong communicator who builds trust easily

  • Comfortable traveling to multiple locations daily; this is not a desk job

  • Self-starter who can manage their own schedule and goals

  • Comfortable with basic marketing tasks (flyers, social posts, presentations)

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with an OASAS-certified treatment provider

  • Familiarity with Medicaid and community behavioral health resources

  • Experience working with justice-involved populations or individuals in recovery
