Join our Amwins Access State Fund team in Santa Rosa as a Client Service Specialist!

This is a full time, in office position in our Santa Rosa, CA office.

Position Summary: The Client Service Specialist is the go-to person for retail agents and California State Fund associates when they need help with their workers' compensation policies. You'll use Nexsure, the Agency Management System, to answer questions, handle policy changes and service requests, research issues, and make sure everything is taken care of accurately and on time. You'll manage your own group of accounts and work closely with agents and internal teams to provide great service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use the Agency Management System (Nexsure) to manage service requests and policy-related inquiries from CA State Fund associates and assigned retail agents, including new, renewal, active, and cancelled workers' compensation policies.
  • Research and resolve policy-related questions and issues by working closely with CA State Fund associates and retail agents.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners through clear, professional communication via email, Microsoft Teams, and phone.
  • Keep agents and stakeholders informed by providing timely updates on service requests and resolutions.
  • Review and resolve service and billing issues while ensuring accurate follow-up and a positive client experience.
  • Use WCIRB resources to research and apply information related to classifications, rules, and rating requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on providing helpful and responsive support.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, stay organized, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems, tools, processes, and insurance-related concepts.
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys working with internal teams, retail agents, and CA State Fund associates.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, along with comfort using online research tools such as Google and Bing.

Education & Licensing

  • High school diploma required; higher education degree preferred but not required.
  • Property & Casualty License, or the ability to obtain within 90 days (cost reimbursed; study support provided by Amwins)

Physical Demands: This role requires sitting, standing, and the ability to lift to 10 pounds.

Pursuant to California regulation, the compensation range for this position is as stated and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.

California Pay Range
$25—$32 USD
