Prosthetic & Orthotic Group is seeking a Billing Specialist in our beautiful Ft. Collins, CO office. The role of the Billing Specialist is to provide exceptional service to patients and customers while providing outstanding support to practitioners. The Billing Specialist ensures that patient needs and visit expectations are met at check-in and check-out. This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations in the fast-paced environment of the clinic with the goal of a positive patient experience with every encounter.

The ideal candidate is professional, able to multi-task, has great customer service skills, and is able to work in a dynamic work environment and can be a part of our orthopedic team.
Duties and responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer phone calls
- Perform data entry and maintain up-to-date records in our system
- Assist with scheduling and general administrative tasks
- Support the team with various office duties as needed
- Coordinate with other offices to ensure efficient workflow
Required skills and qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of front office experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Billing Experience Preferred
- Orthopedic experience preferred, but not required.
- Experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system preferred but not necessary.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes, including verifying benefits through payer portals and obtaining prior authorizations preferred but not necessary.
- Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

**$20-$23/hr compensation determined based on candidate's skills, experience, knowledge, geographic location, and other variables.
