Data Engineer - ITECH-FMLocation: National Capital Region / Type Work: On-site; telework is not anticipatedPosition SummaryGC2IT is seeking a senior Data Engineer to support enterprise data management, analytics, application prototyping, AI/ML integration, performance monitoring, and functional-management modernization for DIA Counterintelligence and HUMINT missions.The Data Engineer will work on high-visibility and mission-critical activities and will operate independently while collaborating with cybersecurity, software engineering, analytics, and mission stakeholders. This position is contingent upon contract award.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide enterprise data-management support. Design and develop software prototypes. Perform code reviews. Interface with Information System Security Engineering personnel. Support data aggregation and integration. Support performance analytics and interactive dashboards. Develop and maintain data-driven tools supporting DCHE health, performance, capability gaps, resource allocation, and mission outcomes. Support AI/ML-enabled functional-management processes. Assist with enterprise repositories, catalogs, analytical frameworks, and authoritative data sources. Support secure interoperability and data-sharing initiatives. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less-experienced personnel as required. Required QualificationsSenior-level expertise in Data Engineering. Experience with knowledge management. Experience with AI/ML prompting, coding, or implementation. Software-development experience. Technical SkillsThis position requires knowledge or experience with technologies including:Python Tableau SQL Java C++ SharePoint Visual Studio PowerPoint Education and ExperienceMore than 10 years of relevant experience. Master's degree required by the labor-category description. Ability to work independently on mission-critical or highly visible efforts. Ability to oversee less-senior staff when required.
