About This Role
We are seeking a Strong, Experienced Passionate Teacher to join our team in our 2 -3 year old classroom. This is an established classroom, and we are looking for someone with experience to add to this growing classroom. We are seeking someone who can handle the fast-paced, challenging environment and has the experience necessary to work with special needs and behavioral challenges in a multi-age setting. We are seeking someone who can help implement and maintain a steady routine, curriculum, and classroom.
Who Are We:
We are a licensed facility that provides care for children from birth to 5 years. We have been in business for 30+ years and are under new ownership! We started as a single classroom with a vision to provide low-cost, quality educational experiences to families in central Columbia. Our program has grown through the years, but we remain dedicated to our mission.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Instruct early preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual, developmental, and social growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and families.
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress through observations, checklists, and conferences.
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the entire Turn the Page family.
Requirements
- Background screening with DHSS
- Fingerprinting with MSHP
- Prefer a college education in Early Childhood or a closely related field
- Must have previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Must have previous experience working with kiddos with different abilities and situations.
- The ability and working knowledge to open, lead, and maintain a classroom independently.
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
