Part-Time Farmer's Market Associate

Part-time Farmer's Market Associate position available at our S. Clyde Weaver stand in the Fresh Market at Hershey Towne Square. Shifts are 5-6 hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. Employees receive free lunches and employee discounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly market stand setup
• Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
• Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
• Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
• Answer all customer questions and address concerns
• Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
• Handle all transactions with accuracy
• Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
• Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of retail experience desired
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
