Job Description

Our painters perform a variety of tasks such as assembling scaffolding, surface preparation, sanding down old paint, filling in drywall holes, mixing paint colors, and painting homes and businesses. The ideal candidate should be comfortable talking with clients to understand their needs. Compensation:$38,000 - $52,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Apply primer or sealers to paint surfaces
- Talk with clients to understand their needs and help them make the best decision
- Cover trim, fixtures, furniture, and floors to protect them from paint
- Assemble scaffolding when required
- Get surfaces ready to be painted by sanding away old paint and filling holes and cracks with putty
- Protect trim, floors, fixtures, and furniture from paint using drop cloths and covers
- Repair small drywall patches
- Maintain a neat and tidy work area
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- Physical strength, stamina to stand for long periods of time, and dexterity is required
- Candidates should have strong time management, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Experience with painting tools and techniques is a big plus, but we are willing to train on the job for motivated candidates
- Driver’s license required
Must live within 50 miles of Auburn Hills, Michigan, to be considered for this position
Minimum of 1-2 years of professional painting experience (residential and/or commercial preferred)
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and proper use of brushes, rollers, and sprayers
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and scaffolding
Experience with drywall patching, sanding, caulking, taping, and priming surfaces
Understanding of different paint types and finishes, including interior/exterior applications
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow job site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with clients and coworkers
Willingness to work a consistent full-time schedule year-round
