Position: Material Handler

Weekend Shift

Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, moving, staging, and supplying raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility. This position supports Production by ensuring materials are available when needed while maintaining accurate inventory, safe material-handling practices, and a clean and organized work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Move materials between the warehouse, production areas, and designated storage locations.
  • Stage materials for production according to daily schedules and work orders.
  • Verify material labels, quantities, lot numbers, and other required information.
  • Load and unload materials safely using appropriate equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other material-handling equipment as authorized.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and report shortages, damaged materials, or discrepancies.
  • Deliver materials to production lines in a timely manner to prevent delays.
  • Return unused materials to the appropriate storage locations following company procedures.
  • Assist with receiving and shipping activities as needed.
  • Follow FIFO/FEFO inventory procedures when applicable.
  • Complete required paperwork, inventory records, and material movement documentation.
  • Follow all GMP, safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
  • Properly handle and store materials according to labeling and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production area.
  • Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, spills, or material concerns to a supervisor.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality Control, and Warehouse teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
