Lead Housekeeping & Laundry Operations in a Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation FacilityLincoln Crawford Care Center is seeking an experienced, motivated, and organized Housekeeping Director to lead our Housekeeping and Laundry Departments. This leadership position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, visitors, and staff while ensuring compliance with infection control standards and healthcare regulations.

Position SummaryThe Housekeeping Director oversees all housekeeping, environmental services, laundry operations, sanitation programs, and infection prevention initiatives throughout our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This role is responsible for staff leadership, departmental operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, budget management, and maintaining survey readiness.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, hospital environmental services, healthcare housekeeping, infection control, and laundry operations.
ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage all housekeeping and laundry department operations.
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and infection control policies.
Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, laundry facilities, and grounds.
Monitor cleanliness standards and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Oversee housekeeping supplies, cleaning chemicals, linen inventory, and department equipment.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, CDC, State of Ohio, Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care regulations.
Collaborate with nursing leadership and department managers to ensure resident satisfaction and safety.
Manage staffing schedules, attendance, performance evaluations, and employee development.
Maintain survey readiness and support successful state and federal inspections.
Address resident, family, and staff concerns promptly and professionally.
Monitor departmental budgets and cost control initiatives.
Minimum of 3 years of housekeeping experience required.
Prior experience as a Housekeeping Director, EVS Director, Housekeeping Manager, Environmental Services Manager, Laundry Manager, or Housekeeping Supervisor preferred.
Healthcare experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC) facility, Rehabilitation Center, Assisted Living Community, Hospital, or Healthcare Facility strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of infection control, sanitation practices, floor care, laundry operations, and environmental services standards.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
