Precision Materials Cutting Technician

Based in Provo, UT, you begin your shift by reviewing the day’s work orders and blueprints. You measure twice, mark once, and set up cutting equipment to exact specifications. As the cuts come off the machine, you verify dimensions, fine-tune as needed, and keep the area safe and organized. You coordinate with teammates to hit production targets while maintaining quality at every step.

• Operate cutting equipment and hand tools to produce components to exact measurements.
• Interpret work orders and blueprints to determine materials, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Measure and mark stock with precision to guide accurate cuts.
• Perform routine care and basic maintenance on tools and machines to keep them in optimal condition.
• Examine finished pieces for quality and alignment with specifications, making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet schedules and output goals.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a Cutter role or similar production environment preferred.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to follow exact instructions.
• Comfort using cutting tools and machinery.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Basic math proficiency for measurements and calculations.
