At All About Kids, Inc., we are dedicated to providing exceptional services to children with developmental delays, and we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Education Instructor (SPED) to join our team in Smithtown, New York.
About the Role:
As a Special Education Instructor (SPED), you will play a vital role in creating personalized learning plans for our students, implementing evidence-based instructional strategies, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure each child receives the highest level of care. Your expertise will help foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, empowering our students to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
Provide instruction in a small group or one-on-one setting, using a variety of teaching methods and strategies
Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet changing needs
Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive treatment
Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to keep them informed of student progress and provide recommendations for ongoing support
Participate in school and community activities to promote social skills and inclusion

Requirements

MA/MS and New York State Teaching Certification (SPED) in any one of the following areas:
Special Education Permanent Certificate
Students with Disabilities, Birth to Grade 2
Compensation
$45-$75 per hour
