EXEMPT: NO JOB TYPE: Full-time DAYS: Monday - Friday REPORTS TO: Account Manager SUMMARY: The Senior Crew Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and leading a crew of 10–14 employees in daily operational activities. This role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. Experience working in a cemetery setting is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating tractors and performing light masonry work. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise, coordinate, and direct the daily activities of a crew of 10–14 employeesAssign daily tasks and monitor work quality and productivityEnforce company policies, safety procedures and proper equipment useAddress performance issues and provide coaching as neededOperate tractors and other light equipment for ground maintenance Conduct routine inspections to ensure quality workmanshipEnsure headstones, monuments, and grave markers are protected during maintenanceOperate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, tractors, etc.)Schedule routine maintenance and repairs of equipmentMonitor inventory of tools, supplies, and landscaping materialsEnsure compliance with OSHA, local regulations, and cemetery policiesConduct safety briefings and enforce PPE requirementsCommunicate effectively with management, staff, and cemetery personnelMaintain records of crew performance, timekeeping, and project completionAddress on-site issues and provide effective problem resolutionPromote teamwork and maintain a respectful, professional work environmentAssist with planning schedules and staffing needsMaintains a clean and safe work environment. Immediate reporting of unsafe working conditions and/or practices to the Account Manager.Other duties may be assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, cemetery operations, or memorial park environmentExperience managing a team of 10–14 employeesPrior experience working in a cemetery setting preferredProficient in tractor operation and light equipment useExperience with light masonry work Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsValid driver's license requiredPREFERRED SKILLS:Proficient in English; Spanish fluency or bilingual ability strongly preferredKnowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standardsBasic mechanical troubleshooting skillsStrong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilitiesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physically demanding tasks include bending, lifting, kneeling, prolonged standing and/or sitting, and repetitive tasks Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and uneven ground and landscape slopes.Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 poundsWORK ENVIRONEMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
