Position SummaryBHMG is seeking an experienced and clinically strong Lead Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care while supporting provider leadership, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency across assigned practice locations. The Lead NP serves as a clinical resource for advanced practice providers, promotes evidence-based care, and collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative teams to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Serve as a clinical mentor and resource for Nurse Practitioners and other clinical staff.
- Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation of clinical protocols and best practices.
- Assist with provider onboarding and training.
- Help monitor productivity, scheduling, and workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership to address operational challenges and improve patient access.
- Participate in clinical meetings and organizational initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
- Support credentialing, clinical documentation, and chart review activities.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs.
- Promote patient safety and patient-centered care.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Conduct preventive care visits and health screenings.
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing results.
- Coordinate care with specialists, facilities, and community resources.
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Active Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner license.
- National Nurse Practitioner certification.
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical practice experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Prior supervisory, preceptor, or leadership experience.
- Experience in primary care, post-acute care, or value-based care settings.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and clinical quality initiatives.
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic reasoning.
- Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
