Lead Payroll Coordinator
Job Description
General Summary: Responsible for overseeing the company’s timekeeping process from field time collection through payroll submission, including managing the timekeeping system, supporting field timekeepers, reviewing and correcting time, maintaining pay classes and system settings, coordinating with the Payroll team, processing corrections and off-cycle payrolls, running reports, resolving timekeeping issues, and ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent payroll information across the company.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee the company-wide timekeeping process, ensuring employee hours are collected, reviewed, and submitted for approval accurately and on time.
- Manage the timekeeping system, including employee profiles, pay classes, job assignments, and system settings, troubleshooting as needed.
- Oversee field timekeepers, providing direction, training, support and accountability for accurate and timely time submission,
- Review timecards and time entries for accuracy, including missed punches, overtime, pay premiums, PTO, job codes and other exceptions.
- Research and resolve timekeeping discrepancies with employees, supervisors, field timekeepers and management.
- Coordinate and be the main contact for the payroll team to ensure acute and timely payroll processing.
- Manage timekeeping corrections, including adjustments, retroactive changes, and other payroll-related corrections.
- Coordinate and process approved off-cycle payrolls related to timekeeping corrections or other payroll issues.
- Provide timekeeping and labor reports to management, operations, payroll, and other departments as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential timekeeping and payroll records.
- Serve as the primary contact for timekeeping and payroll questions and issues.

Educations/Experience:
5+ years Office Administration or similar with experience managing timekeeping or payroll. Experience working in computerized timekeeping systems. Expert in computer usage, including Microsoft Office and the Internet.
