Texas Spine Consultants is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to become part of our pain management practice! We provide an excellent working environment, great team atmosphere, competitive salary and benefits. This role does have Scribe duties and Scribe experience is a plus.

Essential Functions

  • Answers phones.
  • Scribing for the provider.
  • Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
  • Greets patients and takes them back to rooms.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patient's charts.
  • May be required to collect urine samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepares examination rooms and maintains daily cleaning list.
  • Filling out procedure consents.
  • Schedules patients for their special procedures with the ASC centers.
  • Formulates and documents patient care plans, charts, tests and examination results in the medical record.
  • Escalates non-routine issues to the Office Manager or Physician.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager or Physician.

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required)
  • Scribe Experience is a Plus
  • Medical office: 2 years (Required)
  • Pain Management: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Relevant: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
