About the Opportunity

Our client, a confidential food manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead complex capital and engineering projects within a food manufacturing environment. This leadership role oversees engineering design, project execution, contractors, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration while driving safe, efficient project delivery.

Location: Ashland, KY | Type: Direct Hire | Compensation: $125,000 – $155,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale engineering and capital projects from concept through completion
• Develop engineering designs, specifications, budgets, and cost estimates
• Conduct feasibility studies and engineering reviews
• Coordinate plant personnel, contractors, vendors, and consultants
• Manage schedules, contracts, bid packages, and project documentation
• Review field work, validate installations, and prepare as-built drawings
• Monitor budgets, project status, and compliance with engineering standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of engineering experience and 2+ years of leadership experience
• Strong project management and contract administration skills
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Knowledge of construction scheduling and engineering codes
• Multi-million-dollar project experience preferred
• Food processing or meat industry experience is an asset
• Ability to travel up to 50%
