What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and maintaining classroom routines, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
- Child Supervision: Provide active supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest times, and be prepared for any situation that may arise.
- Engagement & Play: Get down on the floor and engage children in play-based, sensory-rich learning activities that foster creativity and exploration.
- Care & Hygiene: Assist with personal care needs, including diapering, toileting, and promoting good hygiene habits like handwashing, to ensure the health and wellbeing of our young students.
- Environment Maintenance: Help keep the classroom organized, clean, and safe for all students, and be a vital part of maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Requirements:
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.

- Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Traits: Patience, creativity, dependability, and strong communication skills, which will enable you to connect with our students and colleagues on a deeper level.
- A basic understanding of child development and positive behavior support strategies, which will help you support our students in their growth and development.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days), which will give you the confidence and skills to respond to any situation that may arise.
- Previous experience working with young children (1 year preferred), which will enable you to hit the ground running and make a meaningful contribution to our team.
