As the Director of Nursing (DON), you will oversee all clinical operations in our 58-bed, CMS 5-Star rated skilled nursing facility, ensuring the highest standards of care while fostering a positive, collaborative culture for residents and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for all nursing services and clinical operations

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

  • Maintain survey readiness and promote continuous quality improvement

  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain high-performing nursing staff

  • Partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to achieve operational and clinical goals

  • Monitor quality measures, infection prevention, staffing, and resident outcomes

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, compassion, and clinical excellence

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and community partners

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut

  • Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process

  • Proven leadership, communication, and team-building skills

  • Demonstrated success in improving clinical quality and staff engagement

  • Passion for delivering exceptional resident-centered care
