About the Role:
WBM INC is looking for a skilled FANUC Lathe Setup Technician to join our team in Wheeling, IL! Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate FANUC-controlled CNC lathes for production runs
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices
• Input, edit, and optimize CNC programs using FANUC controls
• Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make offset adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols on the shop floor

Requirements:

• Proven experience setting up and operating FANUC CNC lathes in a production environment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and GD&T
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, and cutting tool selection
• Experience with G-code programming and FANUC control navigation
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and tight tolerances
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
