Assistant Teacher

Enep’ut Children’s Center is Fairbanks’ oldest nonprofit preschool. We are a small group of people who are dedicated to helping children reach their full potential. We are Leaders. Educators. Mentors. Entrepreneurs. Community Members. Changemakers. Together, we see the potential in every student, no matter what. We are looking to add another fun-loving, dedicated, creative individual to our team. The assistant teachers will help promote experiences by providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate activities in all domain areas. Experience isn’t necessary but is an added bonus, we are willing to provide onsite training.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with planning and implementing the curriculum.
2. Activity Guides will meet all developmental domains supporting the whole child and helping children learn to play and work cooperatively with others.
3. Provides care and learning in a setting that is safe, healthy, nurturing, and responsive to each child.
4. Be attentive, flexible, and supportive of children and their families
5. Demonstrate knowledge of ages and stages of development. Understand the general areas of development for different age groups.
6. Maintain an open communication with parents in a professional way.
7. Be ready and willing to continue your own education in our field.
Physical Demands:

• May be required to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.

• Requires use of a computer, phone, and general office equipment.

• Needs the ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on the phone.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must have reliable transportation
Must be willing to advance education
