Junior Investment Advisor Associate

StaffBuffalo is working with a collaborative and growing wealth management organization to hire a Junior Investment Advisor Associate, offering a long-term opportunity to build a meaningful career in financial planning and advisory services. This role, paying $70,000 - $80,000/year is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship building, staying highly organized, and supporting clients through thoughtful, detail-oriented service while learning the foundations of wealth management.

The Junior Investment Advisor Associate will support financial planning initiatives, client service responsibilities, and day-to-day operational coordination while working closely with senior leadership. This position is designed for someone who wants to grow into a future advisory role over time through hands-on mentorship, professional development, and increasing client exposure.

The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-oriented, and motivated to build a long-term future in wealth management. Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, organization, and a genuine desire to provide exceptional service are essential for success in this role.

This is an In-Person role in Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Support financial planning initiatives by gathering client information, preparing meeting materials, and coordinating follow-up items.
  • Assist with client onboarding, account servicing, paperwork processing, and CRM management.
  • Coordinate scheduling, client communication, and ongoing relationship management efforts.
  • Participate in client meetings, take detailed notes, and help convert action items into organized workflows.
  • Support investment research, retirement planning, and financial planning analysis alongside senior advisors.
  • Help maintain operational organization across planning systems, compliance processes, and client service activities.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment while developing toward a future client-facing advisory role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Relationship-oriented personality with a client-service mindset and strong emotional intelligence.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional presence.
  • Interest in investments, financial planning, wealth management, or advisory services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is preferred; familiarity with financial planning software is a plus.
