We’re looking for a compassionate and driven Registered Nurse (RN) who is dedicated to patient-centered care and recovery. With BHG, you’ll play a critical role in administering methadone, performing health assessments, and ensuring medication accountability. Schedule: 5:00am - 1:30pm (Monday - Friday), Rotating Saturdays (7:30am - 10:00am)
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00/hr

Provide Care
- Safely administer methadone and other prescribed medications in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct ongoing health assessments to identify medical needs and barriers to recovery.
- Evaluate patient readiness for dosing and provide timely clinical follow-up to support safe, effective treatment.
- Coordinate care with pharmacies, laboratories, physicians, and community providers.
- Partner with counselors and the interdisciplinary care team to support each patient's recovery journey and treatment progress.
Manage Documentation and Inventory
- Maintain accurate dosing records and ensure medication accountability to protect patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Manage medication inventory in accordance with DEA, state, and organizational standards.
- Prepare and coordinate courtesy and vacation medication doses to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain clinical documentation and chart monitoring systems to support required physicals and laboratory testing.
Team Building
- Build partnerships with community organizations and healthcare providers to expand access to treatment, resources, and long-term support.
- Conduct outreach to encourage engagement with healthcare providers for chronic disease management and addiction recovery.
- Contribute to a culture of learning by obtaining required certifications, mentoring new nursing staff, and continuously developing clinical expertise.
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Maryland
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in chemical addiction or substance abuse treatment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and manage high-pressure situations.
- Working knowledge of medical equipment such as dosing equipment, centrifuges, test strips, and breathalyzers.
- Fast-paced clinical environment with period of increased activity.
- Exposure to patients with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, infectious diseases, and criminal justice involvement.
- Prolonged standing, bending, and stooping.
- Alternating between sitting and standing throughout the workday.
- Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Frequent keyboarding and computer use.
