PCC/Front Desk - OHSA
Job Description
Position Summary:
Orlando Hand Surgery Associates (OHSA), part of the Orthopaedic Solutions Management (OSM) family, is seeking a Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the welcoming face and essential point of contact for our patients. In this role, you’ll provide exceptional service, ensure a smooth patient check-in/check-out process, and support daily clinic operations with accuracy, empathy, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
- Collect and verify patient demographic, insurance, and payment information
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments according to provider protocols
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding wait times, follow-up needs, and next steps
- Maintain and organize daily schedules to optimize provider workflow
- Ensure patient records are complete and updated in the EMR system
- Collect co-pays and balances, provide receipts, and process payments accurately
- Answer phone calls, route messages appropriately, and assist with patient inquiries
- Support general administrative tasks and clinic needs as assigned
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain a clean, organized front office space
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office or front desk setting preferred
- Knowledge of health insurance basics, co-pays, and authorizations is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a busy clinical environment
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to patient-centered care
