3rd Shift Security Apartment Community

We are seeking a dependable and service-minded security professional to support the safety, comfort, and peace of mind of residents and guests in a residential community during overnight hours. This role is ideal for someone who is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to delivering professional assistance while helping maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor community entrances, common areas, and property grounds during the overnight shift.
• Help deter unauthorized activity through routine patrols, visibility, and access monitoring.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns, incidents, and maintenance-related safety issues.
• Document activity, observations, and incidents accurately in written reports or logs.
• Coordinate with management, emergency services, and other personnel when needed.
• Support access control procedures for residents, visitors, vendors, and deliveries.
• Address disturbances or policy violations in a courteous, firm, and professional manner.
• Maintain a neat appearance and uphold a professional presence throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Previous security, public safety, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to remain alert, observant, and detail-oriented during overnight hours.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to follow procedures, document information clearly, and work independently.
• Comfortable using radios, logs, incident reports, and basic security equipment as required.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work overnight shifts consistently.
• Ability to interact respectfully with residents, guests, and team members.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of residential or property security practices.
• Experience with access control systems, surveillance cameras, or patrol documentation tools.
• Ability to identify potential safety concerns and escalate issues appropriately.
