About This Role

We are seeking an Infant & Toddler Specialist who embodies the principles of Montessori philosophy and is passionate about supporting the natural development of young children. Our ideal candidate will bring a nurturing, calm, and observant approach to their work, creating a peaceful and supportive environment for infants from 6 weeks to 2 years of age. This is an exciting opportunity to join our early childhood team and be part of a program that honors each child's unique rhythm and fosters independence and trust.



What You'll Do

  • Design and maintain a beautiful, orderly, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment that encourages freedom of movement and choice.
  • Implement care routines as opportunities for connection and learning, following the Montessori's respectful caregiving practices.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with families, sharing insights into their child's experiences and development.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to uphold Montessori values and maintain a calm, centered classroom culture.
  • Document observations and milestones to track individual progress and support child-led development.
  • Provide consistent, respectful care that honors each infant & Toddlers rhythm and fosters independence and trust.
  • Observe each child closely to understand their developmental needs and offer appropriate activities that support exploration and discovery.
  • Participate in Montessori professional development, staff meetings, and school-wide initiatives.


Requirements

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

At least 1-2 years experience working with infants in an early childhood setting.

Infant/Toddler Montessori certification or willingness to obtain is highly preferred.

High school diploma or GED required.

Ability to lift and carry infants, and engage in purposeful, floor-level activities.

Strong understanding of infant development.

Gentle, respectful communication style with both children and adults.



Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills are a plus.

Montessori certification or training from an accredited program.

Experience in a Montessori school or center.

Associate or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
