Job Description
A 99-bed acute care facility in Palatka, FL is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse. The hospital operates a 24-hour emergency department alongside a 10-bed intensive care unit and a cardiac catheterization laboratory, serving Putnam County and the surrounding North Central Florida region.
The role. The ER RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting, identifying and monitoring patient care requirements by recording and reporting symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. The nurse reviews and interprets diagnostic test results, modifies treatment plans in response to patient conditions and physician orders, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care. Additional responsibilities include coordinating admissions and discharge planning, preparing patients for examinations and treatments, and promoting patient independence through education directed at patients, families, and caregivers. The nurse also maintains accurate documentation of patient care services and delegates and supervises ancillary personnel as appropriate.
What we're looking for.
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of Acute Care ER experience required
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Schedule. Nights and evenings with rotating weekends.
Compensation. $30.60 - $45.90/hr
