Position Summary:
The Cook / Dietary Aide plays a vital role in ensuring residents receive safe, appetizing meals that meet dietary requirements. This position involves food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary guidelines
Assist with food prep, portioning, and plating
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Serve meals to residents in a courteous and respectful manner
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and dining areas
Assist with dishwashing and kitchen organization as needed
Work collaboratively with dietary staff and nursing team
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or long-term care preferred
Knowledge of safe food handling practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
Reliable attendance and positive attitude
