Impression Foot & Ankle is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and professional Front Desk Receptionist at our established podiatry clinic. As the first point of contact, our receptionist helps create a welcoming and efficient environment. This position is based in our clinic. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner upon entrance.
  • Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary paperwork is filled out and processed accurately.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain an organized appointment calendar.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls to the appropriate party.
  • Collect and process payments from patients for services rendered.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and process insurance claims promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
  • Handle sensitive information confidentially in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Update patient records in the clinic’s database with accuracy.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to manage the daily patient flow.
  • Provide administrative support to the medical staff as needed.
  • Manage supply inventory and order office supplies when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providing them with necessary appointment details and instructions for preparation.
  • Participate in training and education to improve knowledge and performance level.
  • Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently with proper escalation to medical personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in medical administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a front desk role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and patient management software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience in handling patient confidentiality issues according to HIPAA regulations.
  • Medical field experience is a bonus but not strictly necessary.
