Responsibilities:
- Provide individual therapy and counseling sessions to patients dealing with mental health concerns related to chronic illness and endocrine disorders
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians, endocrinologists, and medical staff to deliver integrated, whole-patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed
- Support patients in developing coping strategies, stress management skills, and behavioral health goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations
- Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of Florida
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field
- Experience providing individual therapy in a clinical or medical setting preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or motivational interviewing
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team
- Excellent communication, empathy, and patient-centered care skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
