Job Summary: As our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. You will work closely with our production teams to identify and address potential hazards, implement safety protocols, and ensure our operations meet or exceed all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of our manufacturing facilities and equipment to identify and address safety and environmental concerns
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to educate our employees on proper safety procedures and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve any incidents or accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Assist in the development and maintenance of our environmental management system, including waste management, emissions control, and resource conservation
- Perform a variety of technical tasks and duties related to the overall safety and environmental performance of our operations
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in an environmental, health, and safety technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with shop equipment and machinery
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in data analysis, report writing, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards
- OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Working Conditions:
This position is based in our manufacturing facility, which operates on a standard 40-hour per week schedule. The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve exposure to noise, dust, and other potential hazards. Occasional overtime may be required to address urgent safety or environmental concerns.
Compensation and Benefits:
