About This Role
We're seeking a compassionate Infant Teacher to join our closing shift team at It Takes a Village Child Development Center in Summerville, SC.
We believe that consistency, compassion, and attentive care are essential for our youngest learners.
This part-time role offers a nurturing environment where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our infants.
What You'll Do
As an Infant Teacher, you'll create a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants, supporting daily routines and ensuring a calm end-of-day transition.
You'll work closely with the team to maintain classroom flow and compliance, providing attentive care and responsive interactions.
Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality care that fosters emotional, social, and cognitive growth in our infants.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with team members and families
- Assist with daily documentation and classroom routines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
- Support ratio compliance and assist with classroom transitions
- Provide attentive, responsive care to infants
- Follow feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules
- Ensure all licensing and health/safety standards are met
- Assist with classroom routines

Nice To Haves
With 6+ months of experience in a licensed childcare facility, you'll bring valuable expertise to our team.
CPR & First Aid Certification is a plus (we'll support your training if needed).
If you've worked with infants before, you'll understand their unique needs and be well-equipped to provide top-notch care.
Familiarity with Brightwheel or similar childcare apps will also come in handy.
