Floor Care Technician Location: On-site at GMC | 202 Prospect Dr, Glendive, MT 59330 Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly (bi-weekly pay)Schedule: Five (5) Shifts per Week | 8:00AM – 4:30PM Glendive Medical Center (GMC) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our Environmental Services team. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and attractive facilities through specialized floor care, cleaning services, and waste management activities. The Floor Care Technician plays an important role in supporting patient safety, infection prevention, and the overall experience of our patients, visitors, residents, and staff.Whether you are looking to start a new career in healthcare support services or grow your career within GMC, we encourage you to apply. What You'll DoPosition ResponsibilitiesPerform floor care duties, including sweeping, wet mopping, buffing, stripping, and refinishing floors.Clean and shampoo carpets and upholstered furniture.Maintain floor care equipment and ensure it is clean and functioning properly.Clean assigned areas throughout GMC facilities.Clean exterior windows and GMC-owned apartments as assigned.Collect, transport, and properly dispose of trash and biohazard waste.Follow all infection prevention, safety, and PPE requirements.Participate in the departmental on-call rotation (approximately one week per month).Attend required trainings, in-services, and departmental meetings.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequiredValid Driver's LicenseAbility to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safetyPreferredHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious housekeeping, environmental services, custodial, or floor care experienceSkills & AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationshipsProfessionalism and discretion when working around patients, residents, visitors, and staffStrong communication and organizational skillsCommitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environmentPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of standing and walkingFrequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pullingAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Benefits OverviewMedical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-paid life insurance and disability coverage401(k) with company matchPTO, extended illness, and holiday payOptional additional benefits Why Join Glendive Medical Center?At GMC, you'll be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing exceptional care to patients across eastern Montana and western North Dakota.
