SUMMARY
The Clinical Program Coordinator will provide supervision to a team of peer supports specialists and case managers while executing a grant funded program for Suicide Prevention. The Counselor will utilize a standardized assessment tool to collect clinical information at intake, and ensure the team completes the assessment tools as much. Generate secure and categorized client records in accordance with HIPAA. Provide reports and monitor trends that will promote future funding, expansion, and improvements to the mental health program. Clinical Program Coordinator will assist in training all new peer support specialists and case managers on policies and procedures of VFWP.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for leading a team of peer supportspecialists and case managers to execute a suicide prevention grant.
- Responsible for conducting mental health intake, assessments, developing an individualized treatment plan, and scheduling appointments for the plan.
- Responsible for providingreferrals for suicide prevention
- Accountable for running classes, workshops, groups, making treatment referrals to community resources outside of traditional business hours and on weekends.
- TheClinicalProgram Coordinatorwillutilizea standardized assessment tool to collect clinical information at intake, and throughoutfunding for a client.
- TheClinical Program Coordinatorwill give input on data collected by the programin order tohelp improve services.
- TheClinical Program Coordinatorwillassistin training newprogram staffabout program guidelines and policies.
- TheClinical Program Coordinatorwill lead clinicalstaffingsof clients in a meeting environment.
- Responsible for generating secure and categorized client recordsin accordance withHIPAA.
- Accountable for providing reports andmonitortrends that will promote future funding,expansionand improvements to the mental health program.
- The employee must establish a plan of action to market the program services, delivernumerouspresentations aimed at the specific target group of veteran families and be responsible for achieving the enrollments essential to the program success and to target veterans most in need of these services.
- Travel will berequiredfor outreach activities and willobligatethe employee to use their privately owned vehicle. Thistravelwill be to rural counties in Texas.The program will provide reimbursement for business mileage incurred on official duty. The employeemay on occasionsalso berequiredto drive company vehicles to perform outreach activities.
- This position will be accountable foraccomplishingspecific and measurable enrollment goals each month.
- Confidentiality of client information, donors, teammembersand the AGIF-NVOP. Such information is to bedisclosedon a need-to-know basis only.
- Responsible for being sensitive to the needs of program participants and must always treat clients with respect and professional care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have aMaster’sor PhD. Degree in SocialWork, orProfessionalCounseling, orMarriage and Family Therapy or Psychology.
- Have a full clinical license for independent practice in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC or LMFT) with 3-5 years’ work experience in mental health settings.
- Candidates with documented experience working with veterans or themselves a veteran or veteran spousepreferred.
- Candidates must be willing to attend periodic training as required by the position.
- Have a full clinical license for independent practice in the State of Texas - LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
- Must carry professional liability insurance
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Musthave a current Texas driver’s license at all times
- Mustalways have applicable automobile liability insurance
- Must pass drug testing and background check
- All personnel of the organization must be bondable
