Responsibilities

  • Provides supervisory support for Lead Lab Assistant and Lab Assistants at off site drawing facilities.
  • Assures adequate training of staff and staffing levels.
  • Communicates with lab supervisors and doctors' offices.
  • Develops and maintains Outpatient Phlebotomy Policies and Procedures.
  • Oversees inventory control at all off sites.
  • Coordinates and develops lab assistants.
  • Provides tools and training for lab assistants.
  • Assists supervisor with general management functions.
  • Functional Cooperation and Teamwork

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Multilingual desired but not required.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year clerical experience required in a medical/patient care setting.
  • Experience using Hospital and Laboratory Information Systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience in multiple technical disciplines desirable.
  • Supervisory experience desirable.
  • Customer Service experience desirable.

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Compensation/Benefits

  • $19.56-$31.94/hr depending on previous work experience.
