Host - FisHouse

FisHouse is looking for a friendly, organized Host to be the first and last impression our guests have when they dine with us. If you love creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment, we'd love to meet you.

Pay: $16.90/hour plus tips

About the Role

As our Host, you'll greet guests as they arrive, manage seating and wait times, and help keep the flow of the dining room running smoothly. You'll work closely with our servers and kitchen team to make sure every guest has a great experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter and thank them as they leave

• Manage the waitlist and seating chart to balance server sections and minimize wait times

• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and answer basic guest questions

• Keep the host stand, entryway, and waiting area clean and organized

• Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen staff about seating and table status

• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, escalating to a manager when needed

• Assist with light side work as needed (menus, silverware rolls, table resets, etc.)

What We're Looking For

• Some restaurant or customer service experience preferred

• A positive, welcoming attitude and strong communication skills

• Ability to stay organized and calm during busy rushes

• Reliable, punctual, and a team player

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Schedule

Part-time - shifts to be discussed based on availability and restaurant needs.
