Harmony Hospice Vigil Volunteer

Provide calm, respectful companionship and emotional comfort

Offer gentle reassurance through presence, conversation, music, reading, or prayer (as appropriate to patient wishes)

Support family members by offering respite and reassurance

Communicate changes or concerns to hospice staff

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospice policies

Respect cultural, spiritual, and personal preferences of patients and families

Must be 18 years or older

Completion of hospice volunteer training and vigil-specific education

Ability to remain calm and present in emotionally sensitive situations

Background check and health screening required

This position has a flexible time commitment

Access to reliable transportation is needed for this position
