Job Summary:

As a Unit Manager at Montcare Wheaton, you will be responsible for providing exceptional leadership and management to our rehabilitation and skilled nursing team. You will oversee the daily operations of our units, ensuring high-quality patient care and a positive work environment for our staff. Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and high-quality patient care

  • Develop and implement unit goals, objectives, and policies to achieve excellence in patient care and satisfaction

  • Foster a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and collaboration among staff

  • Ensure effective staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet the needs of our patients and staff

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop training programs to enhance staff skills and competence

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans and improve patient outcomes

  • Monitor and report on unit performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to address them

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a focus on patient safety and risk reduction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field

  • Minimum two years of experience as a Unit Manager or in a leadership role

  • Current Maryland RN license

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes
