About This Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced lead toddler teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and safe environment for children, assisting in educational activities, and fostering positive relationships with staff, children, and parents. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential for this role.
What You'll Do
- Create engaging and educational programs tailored to preschool children's needs and interests
- Utilize a range of teaching methods, including storytelling, educational play, and multimedia, to promote learning and development
- Provide guidance and support to children to enhance their social skills, self-esteem, and emotional intelligence
- Foster a sense of community among children by encouraging positive interactions and resolving conflicts in a fair and respectful manner
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes artistic and practical skills, such as shape recognition, number skills, and color awareness, through hands-on activities and crafts
- Coordinate and supervise nap and snack times to ensure children's safety and well-being
- Monitor and track children's progress, reporting regularly to parents and staff
- Build strong relationships with parents by communicating effectively and showing a genuine interest in their child's background and well-being
- Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and promote a culture of excellence
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards
Requirements
- Certification in child CPR or ability to obtain upon hire
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable demeanor
- Ability to balance creative vision with practical acumen
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent understanding of child development principles and preschool educational methods
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher (desired)
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
